Mother Tongue Magazine | Issue 4
Mother Tongue is a biannual magazine that interrogates (and celebrates) modern motherhood through inclusive stories about art, sex, pop culture, politics, food, and a few things in between. It’s not about kids or how to parent them: it’s about the nuanced lives we are living—as mothers, and much more.
This edition, the fourth from the wonderful team at Mother Tongue might just have to be crowned 'Best cover ever' (Danielle here, yep). The human-cat nose boop which graces the pea-soup and candy pink Spring/Summer issue is something close to purrfect.
And inside, the content remains strong — from 'sexy lion dreams' with Bats for Lashes, reflecting on Whitney Houston, a winding story of 'revenge without remorse', building homes for the future, 'the everyday horror of our children’s unmeetable expectations' and, crucially, feline fixations.
