Recipes for your self-care bottles
Before using your bottles for a second purpose, make sure to clean them thoroughly with dish soap (including spray, stems, and droppers).
BALMY ROLL-ON BOTTLE IDEAS
Calming oil
Create a home blend oil to gently rub on your temples and wrists before bedtime or creative work, while reading a book or waiting for an appointment.
YOU WILL NEED
- 10ml coconut oil or jojoba oil
- Lavender, Frankincense or Peppermint essential oil
Melt enough oil to fill the roll-on. Let it cool and then add 4-6 drops combined of Lavender & Frankincense for a calming oil or Lavender & Peppermint for an uplifting blend.
Sand souvenir jar
Collect sand from your favourite beach and carry it around as a souvenir of a lovely day spent outdoors.
SEA MIST BOTTLE IDEAS

Fill with water and use it to give your plants a little H20 perk up.
02. AIR FRESHNER
Follow this recipe for an easy homemade air freshener.
You will need
- 1 cup of water
- Essential oils of your choice (we love the blends from Vitruvi).
- 2 tbsp of Baking soda
- Funnel
Mix 20 drops or so of the essential oils with the baking soda and stir. Add the water and stir some more. Once well combined, pour into the Sea Mist bottle using a funnel. It’s now ready to use, after giving it a good shake!
Home Cleanser
Follow the cleanser recipes below for everyday use or a perfect homemade mirror cleaner.
Blend for every day use
YOU WILL NEED
- Lemon rinds, or other citrus scraps
- White vinegar
- A fine-mesh strainer and/or cheesecloth
- Fresh herbs such as lavender, rosemary, thyme, sage, or mint.

Blend for mirroirs/windows
- 1/4 cup Isopropyl alcohol (Rubbing alcohol)
- 40ml White vinegar
- Distilled water
- Your preferred essential oils. Eucalyptus, orange, tea tree, and lavender are all great options!
Add the alcohol & vinegar into the bottle, using a funnel to make your life easier. Add 5-7 drops of essential oils. Top it off with distilled water and voilà!
TIDAL SOAK BOTTLE IDEAS
Candle holder
Find a tapered candle and lightly chip away part of the wax at the base so it fits into the neck of the bottle. Easy-peasy! Great to add ambiance with a few candles around the house 🙂
Flower vase
Use the bottle as a simple single flower vase. The subtle blue hue of the bottle can be interesting to keep in mind when picking flower colours.
SOLSTICE OIL BOTTLE IDEAS
Bitters
A great bottle to use for homemade bitters for your cocktails at home or to spark up your everyday water.
*Clean and rinse thoroughly the bottle and dropper to make sure all oil residue is gone.
