THINGS TO GET INTO THIS SUMMER

THINGS TO GET INTO THIS SUMMER

If you’re anything like us, you probably can’t remember the last time you’ve put on a proper pair of pants as well as the last time you’ve actually succeeded at talking yourself out of that temptation to drink your 3rd coffee. If you’re anything like us, you probably have wondered what else could be cool to do if not a braless AM coffee session with music playing in the background. Yeah, coffee and slow mornings are one of our fav summertime go-to’s, if we’re not heading to the beach. But we do know that not everyone is coffee addicts like we are or have the opportunity to spend time beside and in the water. And that some of us are looking for different, fun and exciting things to do over the summer, whether to change things up a notch or simply to make life more enjoyable. So here are some good things that we recommend you get into this summer:

SEND A MESSAGE TO SOMEONE YOU HAVEN’T TALKED TO IN A WHILE

Or make a phone call. Send that email. Start off a conversation with a person you look up to, or someone that has been on your mind. Slide into someone’s DMs. People have lots to say and, oftentimes, they're really interesting to listen to.

MAKE A GARDEN

Plant garden? Veggie garden? Spice garden? Give those babies some love, time and energy. Not only will the process feel very rewarding but it will also give back!

INTRODUCE A FRIEND TO THE OCEAN

Or if we might… to water therapy. Go for a surf session. Or for an early morning swim, or even a skinny dip at night. No ocean? Find a lake and set those buns free!

RELAX IN A BATH

Post-surf session or rainy afternoon. There’s something tremendously satisfying about extending that ocean feel. Our recommendation: add some bubble bath: we’ve got a good refreshing one for you

SPEND TIME IN THE KITCHEN

Blast some music, get braless and barefoot and get creative. A little glass of wine at the end of the day while cooking is also pretty enjoyable.

PRACTICE GRATITUDE

Say more thank you’s. Try to see all you have rather than don’t have, daily. And make an appointment with yourself to check back with how you feel, at the end of the summer. And also, say when something feels good to you. Your partner stroked your naked back and it felt amazing? Let him/her know.

CREATE PLAYLISTS

Create mood & occasion playlists on Spotify or Apple Music. And blast them off!! Or simply listen to this one.

READ A BOOK OR TAP INTO A PODCAST

Typical… but how about this one or this wellness guide to decompress, along with a coffee, in your bath or in the sun? Indulge in your reading.

We’ve also been loving listening to “Where Should We Begin” with Esther Perel and learning about the complexity but oh-so-interesting dynamic of relationships.

On another note, create space to un-learn and educate yourself about Black Lives Matter and the First Nations in Canada. Surely there is a massive change needed throughout society and it starts with every individual. Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter or circle back to our blog, we will be sharing resources on this matter.

Anything else we should do this summer? Slide into our DMs.
